Man
is the most dynamic, crazy and influencing creation of God, but; he gets bored
by his own creations that he keeps pushing the limits, while in the process,
defying nature and its inherent properties. He spends in billions creating “out
of the world” amusements, he seeks “irrational” pleasures, he creates “secret”
desires, he breaks the barriers, he reinvents science, he rewrites history and
even, sometimes, derives happiness and satisfaction from the destruction of his
own kind, yet; he looks further to fulfill his “vacuum”. What can satisfy him? As I keep thinking and extend my long wait
for the mists to clear, she emerges; yet again, for the fifth year in a row
with that terrific charisma and capability to fulfill the most powerful
“vacuum” that could ever exist within a life. She is simple, she’s quiet,
she’s humble, she’s unbothered, she does only her job, nevertheless; she’s
unstoppable, she’s uncontrollable, she’s fearsome, she’s colossal, she’s
powerful, she’s full of energy and she’s brimming with life. Year after year, monsoon after monsoon, she
takes exactly the same path and the same form, still; every single year, she
mesmerizes people in thousands so easily, that man seems a puppet before her.
Man’s creations are a marvel, while nature’s creations are a magic. However
complex ours are and however simple theirs are, we don’t stand a chance against
them as yet again, she wins hands down. If I still see man a worthy power it’s
because of his ability to think and create, the two very reasons which helped
me to capture her in full glory using one of his amazing tools, the camera. This posting is a part of my long road trip
during the monsoons of 2015 that took me through the inspiring and craving
countryside of Malnad, my favourite geographical region in India. It’s been 6
years now, ever since I began to walk over her…and there is not even the
slightest emergence of boredom on the horizon, as I keep waiting for the next
July…every single year…yet another manifestation of the power of nature’s
ability to make you forget yourself…
The
waterfall represented in above photographs is India’s second highest Plunge
waterfall, the mighty Jog…
